i heart you

dear angels,

mom woke up to dozens of notes and balloons all over the house this morning. there were cute "i love you" notes in the toilet, on the banister of the staircase, on top the coffee maker, in the kitchen and even the pitcher of water in the refrigerator. mom was so touched she cried alone in the dining room for a few minutes. made sure you guys weren't around to see her do that.

for a long time she has tried her best to be a responsible mom. balancing work, home and civic-oriented duties to the point of exhaustion sometimes. hoping you'd grow up to be kind, soft-hearted and courteous individuals.

this morning she looked back at the few years she's been with you and it finally dawned on her that maybe.. she did a good job of raising all of you.

you're all very smart and intelligent even though she doesn't regularly sit with you to study your lessons. you're positive and very patient and never once throw tantrums when you don't get to buy the nice things all your classmates have. you settle for the cheap stuff mommy can afford. you even reassure her that it's okey to be clothed in ukay-ukay most of the time. actually you guys DO look so fashionable in them. ha! you're content with riding the jeep in your uniform and don't complain about walking in the "baha" when heavy rains come. you dont mind sharing each others clothes and even borrow mine when the mood hits you.

mom knows you're all at home now. cooking up whatever you can find in the freezer so that i can have an early dinner when i get home. thank you dears.

you've all been the best things that has ever happened in my life and i thank the Almighty i have all of you to share this lifetime.

thank you for giving mommy the best gift she can ever receive on her birthday.
