128 days

one hundred and twenty eight days since my last blog entry. writer's block got the best of me. the frequent flying sapped me of my creative juices (meron ba?)

the past four months have been very hectic actually. so it's not that i didn't have anything to write about. i don't know. maybe i just got tired of all the writing. i do it at work, i do it at home and i do it in my spare time. i even do it in my sleep. writing overload i guess. statis. there. well, here's the gist of everything (even the kitchen sink) .. that is if you're interested :)

the first major fiasco was i got hired and was supposed to leave for _____ but much to me and my employers dismay, we discovered i was sick. sick. sick. sick. an ailment i didn't know existed. which had to be cured before i could leave and work. this, a week before i was scheduled to fly out. i had everything panned out. had my ticket, work visa, scarves and socks for the cold weather, corporate outfits, the prerequisite red ribboned documents (you have to be an OFW to know this), embassy clearances and so forth. tears were already shed for the family i would leave behind. worse thing is...i even quit my dayjob. nice huh.

the good thing that came out of the disastrous OFW ( yes. bagong bayani. stop na LOL) stint was i found out my body lied to me. i wasn't healthy. and all this time i thought i was. the thought of me being out of a job and being sucked out of my comfort zone and the career status quo was a startling realization. wake-up call!

added to that i was privy to two graduations, five birthdays, a baby shower party, birth of twins (of a friend), a breakup of a good gay friend, being a godmother, a botched marriage of a nephew, departure of a dear loved one, a son's broken tooth, an argument with 2 cousins, a new yoga mat (oh yeahhh), renewed friendships, a brother's worrisome affair, the arrival of my sister, a father's sickening political agenda and a long year celibacy.. (for real! stop the LOL already!).

so to cut the story shorter than Girards attention span (peace) my so called stasis break was a chocful of heartwrenching personal discoveries, disappointments and frequent flier miles.

i'm back. still sick though and an emotional wreck but still channeling the good karma.

say hello friends i truly missed all of you :)
